Special Interest Groups (SIGs)

The Special Interest Groups (SIGs) ensure greater focus by facilitating continuous yearlong engagements and interactions. Attendees and participants may express interest in more than one SIG. The SIGs therefore retain flexibility for the future and are not boxed into strict vertical/horizontal segments.

Based on current global pressing needs, GBF 2015 will revolve around the subject of Development.

The SIGs identified are as follows:

Infrastructure

Draw a roadmap for realisation of full-growth potential of some of the key growth areas including power, bridges, dams, roads and urban cities, smart cities and rural infrastructure.

Healthcare

Big data analytics, Innovations in online and offline delivery of healthcare, innovations in Devices and medicinal systems.

Energy

Address the opportunities that lie in the Indian energy sector across broad spectrum of energies such as conventional fossil, non-conventional fossil, renewable and nuclear energy.

Education and Skills

Explore partnerships in primary education and skills to re-energize skilling and employability scenarios in India.

Information and Communication Technology (ICT)

Leverage the effervescent entrepreneurial activities in this sector in India for business opportunities across the globe.

Smart Cities

Address critical issues of cities and their infrastructure including water, sanitation, waste management, mobility (public transport, roads) and energy.

Make-In-India

Look at ways to support, build Indian products & brands that can meet not only domestic requirement, but to meet the global requirements in a variety of sectors.

Environment (Water)

Showcase innovations in the water sector, which can influence policy and planning framework and their adoption through a government desk.
