RCM Reddy

MD & CEO of IL&FS Education & Technology Services Ltd.

Mr. RCM Reddy is the Managing Director & CEO of IL&FS Education & Technology Services Ltd and responsible for all social sector initiatives of IL&FS Group in the areas of education, skill development,  health and cluster development

He has designed and implemented several path-breaking initiatives in partnership with the government and industry in the areas skill development with the focus on youth below poverty line.  Several innovations in terms of placement linkages, blended learning model, use of technology for scale and quality are features of the model.  Under his leadership, IL&FS Skill Development Corporation, a JV with National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), has emerged India’s largest private sector vocational training provider. Approx. 2 lakh youth are annually trained and placed in manufacturing, engineering & construction and services sector companies with more than 75% placement.  The model pioneered by him is often cited as one of the best global case studies, and also contributed to ‘Skill India’ mission significantly

Under the leadership of Mr Reddy, IL&FS Education has presence in about 30,000 schools, reaching approx. 10 Mn students and teachers on a daily basis in the country including government schools by way of providing technology solutions, teacher training and other innovative products to enable improvement in learning outcomes

Mr Reddy is actively engaged in several industry-government interface initiatives. He is the Chairman of FICCI Skills Forum.  He also actively contributes to international cooperation between India and other developed countries such as UK, Australia and New Zealand by being a member of inter-governmental committees.

Mr. Reddy is a former Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, and before joining IL&FS, he worked with Government of India and Government of Tripura in various capacities. He also worked briefly with United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) in the area of cluster development.
